About Calendars, Alarms, Incoming SMS, and Data Quotas

These options use the following workflow for dealing with any type of event.

  • Any event type you create (Calendar, Alarm, Incoming SMS, or Data Quota) is inactive as its default state. This is indicated in the field associated with the event.
  • An inactive event is indicated using a grayed out lightning bolt button on the dialog associated with that type of event.
  • Once you create an event of the above types, you add actions to the event you have created. For example, for an Alarm event, you can create an action that sends an SMS when the alarm is triggered.
  • To activate an event (and its actions) when you have finished creating it, click the Lightning Bolt icon. The event becomes active. The indication associated with the event changes to Active. To deactivate the event, click the icon again.
