Adding Blacklistings

NOTE

Please keep the following in mind:

Enter a known, untrustworthy MAC address so that the WebPort rejects any attempt to connect to the WebPort from this address.

To add a blacklisting:

  1. From the Configuration Work Area, select the following icon: This is a picture of the dialog. The Security Setup dialog appears: This is a picture of the dialog.
  2. If necessary, select the Blacklist option in the Security Setup dialog.
  3. Click the following Blacklist dialog icon: This is a picture of the dialog.

    The MAC Address Properties dialog appears:

    This is a picture of the dialog.
  4. View or specify the following options:
    • MAC Address. Enter MAC address. Example: 88:88:88:88:88:88
    • Description. Enter description. Example: MAC address from reported attack site.
    • Submit. Saves changes on WebPort and shows new blacklisted MAC address: This is a picture of the dialog.
    • Cancel. Exits without saving changes on WebPort.
